Fall Studio led by Prof. Stephanie Choi

This studio engaged in speculative thinking about the future of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, with a primary goal of blurring the boundaries between private and public spaces. To achieve this, we conceived various communal areas, connecting the front lawn to the interior courtyard by transforming the existing parking lot into a new landscape.

Drawing inspiration from Pei’s architecture, the landscape’s form is shaped through pushing and pulling, creating pockets and moments for people to gather. What was once a mere driveway has now evolved into a new parkway.
