RISD Mixed-use Campus | Tribus

Old State House, Providence, RI - 2021

RISD School of Architecture

Fall Studio led by Prof. Danniely Staback

This project explores the method of documenting and analyzing a site, by observing surrounding context to develop a mixed-use campus space for RISD.

To examine the characteristics of buildings around the site. The building response to the surrounding light source reflects on the placement of programs. The sense of imagination viewing these lights delivers a sense of emotion that a home is a place of refuge and warmth. A building may flourish with a strong personality in the daytime, but the connection between users at night shows the building characteristic in its purest form.
